Drama School Beckons for Adam

Adam Urey has become the third RLT member to be offered a place at one of the country’s leading drama schools. In September he will be taking up a place at Birmingham School of Acting. He follows in the footsteps of his brother Mat who last year graduated from Queen Margaret University College and Susie Milner who trained at Oxford School Of Drama.

Yet another RLT member, Faye Daniels, has just graduated from Salford University with a B.A. (Hons) in Performing Arts.

Girls’Night and James and the Giant Peach

RLT will be opening their 2008/9 season with Girls’ Night by Louise Roche - for more information please visit our Forthcoming Productions Pages. This will be followed in January by Roald Dahl’s James and The Giant Peach, adapted by David Wood.

One Big Blow

After the success of One Big Blow last October, it went on to the Fleetwood Theatre Festival where it came runner up and where Adam Urey won the best actor award for his portrayal of Geordie/Jimmy. This was followed by a visit to the National Coal Mining Museum in November. It sold out and was enthusiastically received.

It then went on to the Gaiety Theatre in Douglas on the Isle of Man playing to an audience of 600 and the following week was at Partington Players Theatre in Glossop where the house full notices went up when all 80 seats were sold.

Next stop is the Buxton Fringe Festival on July 19, 24, 25, 26 at the Buxton Swimming Pool activity room, on-line booking via Buxton Opera House, www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk/whats-on/one-big-blow or telephone 0845 127 2190.
