Love is a Leap Of Faith
The story of one couple, told from two different points in their lives – as young lovers in their 20s and as worldly companions looking back on their relationship. Their past and present selves collide in this haunting and beautiful tale of togetherness. All relationships have their ups and downs; the optimism of youth becomes the wisdom of experience.
Inspired by the T.S. Eliot's poem, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock; William and Margaret/Billy and Maggie are depicted at two key stages in their lives. After forty years of marriage they enter the final week of Maggie's life, the house becomes full with memories of their marriage and their desperation to conceive a child. Past and present literally intertwine as the older and younger couples move around each other across the stage.
